December 02 and 03, 2006

What a weekend Hercules had at the Conroe Kennel Club show in Montgomery, Texas. On Saturday, he won the Breed in "Best Bred By Exhibitor Competition" under judge Peggy Conger qualifying him to compete in the group. He did not place in group but did make an excellent showing of himself.

Sunday, Herc took Winner's Dog for his very first win and 2 points under Mrs. Carolyln B. McKenna. The weather that weekend was not friendly, with close to freezing temperatures and a howling wind and of course we were showing in the parking lot. It made for plenty of distraction both for the dogs and the handlers. But Hercules was a real trooper, even when my friend Barb almost tripped over him in the ring. Both recovered beautifully and without injury. Thanks so much to her for helping out when both Dallas and Herc had to go back in to compete for the points.

Hercules was on a roll In Elk City, Oklahoma, Herc took another point under Judge Norman L Herbel. This time, I took him in to win his class. Then of course, Dallas and Herc were both up for Winners Dog again. Bud took Herc in for me so I could stay on Dallas. Together, they took the point and the ribbon.

Bud would not get in the picture this time, but I insisted that he would get his picture taken the next time he is holding the lead!!

Shreveport has a wonderful 4 day show every spring and I love going there. This year our boy Hercules went Best of Winners and Best of Opposite under judge Carolyn Herbel.

We are especially proud due to the quality of the specials (champions) that Hercules went over for this win.

We traveled to Little Rock Arkansas for the first time and enjoyed ourselves. The club members are very friendly and made everyone feel welcome.

On Sunday, Hercules impressed judge Peggy Beisel-McIlwaine to earn the Winners Dog point.

What an honor it was for Hercules to take Winner's Dog in Tulsa Oklahoma. The judge Kenneth A. Buxton, a breeder himself, saw the type and movement in this young dog.

Unfortunately, the major broke but there will be more opportunities for those. Hercules has developed into quite a showman, strutting his stuff to full advantage.

December 1, 2007

Judge Carolyn Herbel liked what she saw this day. Hercules took Winner's Dog, Best of Winners and Best of Breed. He was also awarded Best of Bred By Exhibitor.

He went on that afternoon to win a Group II in the Bred-By Exhibitor competion.

January 5, 2008

Judge David Guempel awarded Hercules with Winner's Dog at Nolan River KC show in Glen Rose, Texas.

Mr. Guempel breeds some of the top dogs in the country so it was an honor for us to be selected by him.
